Leading Property Compliance Specialists

Serving the North of Scotland

A Company Born out of Demand

Northscotfire Ltd is a company that was born out of demand from landlords and home owners in the Highlands and Islands for a reliable and comprehensive fire safety and electrical service to cater to their needs for regulatory and insurance compliance.

With over 50 years fire and rescue service experience. We have put together a multi-talented team of trained technicians, electrical and fire engineers who are passionate and proud about what they do.

Based in Inverness, we travel across the Highlands, west to Fort William, up the coast to Skye, around the North Coast 500 route to Durness and John O’Groats, east to Elgin and Aviemore the Moray area, and out to the islands, providing fire risk assessments, fire extinguishers, smoke alarms, electrical testing reports and legionella testing.

Instead of having to find different contractors to come and perform the various checks and installations needed to bring properties up to par for regulations, our customers welcome the fact that we can do it all for one price, in one stop.

Our Credentials

We’re pleased to say that we have earned a reputation for excellence in our field, both for our workmanship and customer service. We are committed to being prompt, punctual, professional, and well-prepared, so you can be confident we won’t let you down on any aspect of our dealings with you.

This all means we are qualified and competent to render your property safe from the threat of fire and keep it compliant with current safety legislation.

Our Responsibility

Since the tragic and disastrous Grenfell Tower fire in London in 2017, which claimed 72 lives, the Scottish Government and The Highland Council have tightened up fire safety regulations along with everywhere else in the UK.

As a company involved with fire safety measures and risk assessments we consider ourselves duty bound and responsible for keeping up to date with not only the relevant legislation, but also technological advances in fire safety and alarm equipment.

We are dedicated to ensuring the safety of not only residences and workplaces in the North of Scotland, but also the many holiday-makers and tourists who come here and stay in various accommodation establishments.

That’s why we are delighted to be able to take on contracts from short term letting agents and landlords, as well as hosts and operators of properties taking paying guests, to assist them with the safety aspects of their now mandatory applications for a licence.
