The Scottish Government has recently introduced a new regime which requires hosts or operators of short term lets and holiday accommodation to apply for a licence before any bookings can be taken.
Among the main conditions for being granted a licence are a fire risk assessment, EICR (Electrical Installation Condition Report), PAT (Portable Appliance) Testing and a Legionella risk assessment – all of which Northscotfire Ltd are qualified and competent to undertake anywhere across the Highlands and Islands.
The licensing laws apply to all sorts of accommodation establishments – B&B’s, guest houses, chalets, cottages, shepherd’s huts, lodges, apartments, glamping pods, yurts – even lighthouses, castles and treehouses!
